Let's suppose you have a lot of important data stored on your computer and, all of a sudden, your data gets deleted. The reasons for this may be a virus attack, a hacker attack, a hard disk problem or simply a deletion by mistake. No matter what the reasons are for the missing data, one would want to recover all his important files and folders. This cannot be done using the Windows operating system alone, so the only solution left is to turn to a 3rd party application that can recover files and folders. One such application is ReclaiMe.

The name clearly states the program's functionality, which is to recover deleted files and folders from any hard disk partition, no matter the size and file system. The software has no trouble running on Windows and it's compatible with versions ranging from XP to 7. The program occupies about 10 MB of hard disk space and takes up little system resources.

The interface of ReclaiMe doesn't feature any options or complicated settings. The user just needs to select the desired partition, from where he wants to recover the files and folders. That's it. After a while, depending on the size of the partitions, the recovered files and folders will be displayed in the exact form they were before deletion. At this point, one can select one or more files and folders and can recover them to a selected destination folder on the hard disk.

For making it easier to find a certain file or folder, the program features a search tool in its interface. Using it, the user can quickly find a desired file or folder, by selecting some simple settings, for example, the minimum and maximum size of the file or folder.

Besides displaying files and folders in their original form, ReclaiMe can also display found data as RAW, which means that all the files will be organized according to their type.
